Merry Monday #5

Wow, I have made more cards since starting my blogs, than in the last year!  I’m shocked!! Especially since my grandson has now just started to crawl.  I have to watch him every minute! lol  He has also decided he no longer needs naps!  Good thing Grandpa loves to help out! 🙂

The Paper Players sponsors a Challenge called Merry Monday. The goal is to make a Christmas card every week:)

Here is my card for this week:)

Hmmm, it looks a little crocked:(  It actually looks fine on my desk.  Isn’t that flower gorgeous?! I got my inspiration from Lynn Pratt. Click on her name and go see the beautiful card she made! Lynn tells about how she made the Poinsettia:)

It’s funny, my supply list seemed really short, and then I got to the “Misc”.  Overall not a hard card to make.  I did use Very Vanilla Craft Ink.  You don’t emboss it, it dries very nicely.  Also the set “Come to Bethlehem”, I just used the Merry Christmas stamp.

Supply list, all Stampin’ Up!

Stamps-French Foliage, Come to Bethlehem

Ink-Craft Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler

Paper-Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke

Misc-Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Crochet trim Chantilly 1/2, Modern Label Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

I’m glad you stopped by today:)  I hope you like my card:)

  1. Beautiful! I always love poinsettias and this is a very pretty one. And what a great embossed background! Gosh, you’ll be way ahead of me on Christmas cards if you keep this up. Actually you’ll be way ahead on cards although I am having Dawn and Monica over on Monday so hopefully I will be very productive.

Janet, that is really a pretty card and I dso love the poinseitta. Great idea to make one a week and come next December you’ll be ready. But since all will be different you will have to decide who gets what.
Glad you are finding time for making cards.
