Merry Monday #43 (final challenge for 2012)

Wow, it’s hard to believe, Christmas is about a month away!!  I have been making my Christmas cards faithfully all year with Merry Monday, so I have a good supply of cards to mail:)  Here is their last sketch for this year:

Here is the card I made, you can click on it to make it larger:

Okay, I didn’t use circles, I hope squares are ok;)  I used a Lace’ template to cut my design.  Lace’ templates are no longer made:(  Lucky for me, I found a number of them before they were all gone:)  There are some new templates out there that you can use in a Sizzix or such, but I did mine the “old fashioned” way.  I cut by hand with a craft knife.

Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso for the very back, on top of that is Old Olive that I stamped with Pines & Poinsettias (retired), using VersaMark ink.  It makes a nice subtle imprint:)   I cut Very Vanilla with my SU Scallop Trim Border punch.  Then Real Red and finally paper from Berry Bouquet (retired) I believe you can still get it in digital form from Stampin’ Up!

I sponged Old Olive over the back of my paper before cutting with my die.  The sentiment is from Hand Penned Holidays which I embossed with SU silver embossing powder.  Finally I added a little gem from my stash. Not as hard as it sounds:) lol

Be sure to check out Merry Monday before they go on their “winter” break!

Thank for coming by today:)  Hmmmm, I’m not sure what I’ll be making next, I guess we will all be surprised:)

  9. It was clever of you to create duo color paper by sponging green ink on the back of the paper! As well as the lacé, I like your VersaMark stamping to create a subtle background pattern. It really adds to the card.
