Freshly Made #57

This card is for Freshly Made #57. I noticed that a lot of people made Christmas cards this week for the challenge, but I’m still in Halloween mode;)  I did use a Christmas stamp set though, more on that later.  Here is this weeks sketch:

Looks simple, but it’s seems to be the simple ones that give me so much trouble;)  Here is the card I finally made, you can click on it to make it larger:

Yep, I used the new Christmas stamp set, Scentsational Season by Stampin’ Up!.  I also used the matching Framelit Dies, Holiday Collection.  The whole set is really cute!  I don’t know why I picked it for a Halloween card, just popped into my head:)

The dotted paper is from the DSP set Frightful Sight. This is the regular paper which is retired, but I also have it in digital form from My Digital Studio, still available:)  The top paper looks orange, but it’s actually More Mustard.  The stamp pad I used is Lucky Limeade, as well as the ribbon, and one of the background layers.

The spider web is one of those scratch on things I found in my stash, as well as the skull.  I love how it all came together:)

Thanks for coming by today:) My next card should be a Christmas card.  See you soon!

Freshly Made #53

Yep, I’m playing with Freshly Made this week:)  I have a pretty simple card this week, but I think it’s so cute!  Here is the sketch from Freshly Made #53:

Here is the card I made, you can click on it to make it larger:

How cute is that?  I copied it. LOL  Yes, it’s in the Stampin’ Success magazine, for all you demonstrators, on page 15.  I was looking through my magazine and thought, wow, if you turn the sketch sideways, that’s a perfect fit!  Well, almost;)  I changed mine up a little.  I wanted all green paper, so when I added my Cardinal, it would really stand out:)

I sized my card at 5 1/2 square, my strips are 1/2 inch.  Yes, I know they aren’t  all spaced perfectly, I did that on purpose.  Looks more “country” to me.  Once I decided on my papers, it was really pretty easy.

For my papers I used some “Be of Good Cheer” and some “Jolly Holiday”.  Jolly Holiday is retired but still available to buy from the My Digital Studio.  You don’t have to have MDS to use it.  It works with lots of other print programs:)  You insert it into your print program and print it just like regular paper:)

I will list the rest of my supplies below.  Don’t be afraid to ask if you have questions:)

Thanks for stopping by today to have a look:)  Have a great week!

Tropical Freshly Made #23

I’m thinkin’ summer….or at least somewhere warm:) Here is the sketch this week from Freshly Made.

Here is the card I made for the Freshly Made sketch:

There are instructions on Splitcoaststampers website for a “Cup card”, that was the original inspiration.  I also saw a similar card to this on e-bay. (I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name:( )  I took my inspiration from both spots, used the sketch and came up with my design.  I used retired Stampin’ Up! stamp sets.  I don’t think it actually has a very long supply list.  Hmmm, ok, I did use lots of different inks;) I did use mostly In Colors.

Look through your old Stampin’ Up! sets and see what “new” cards you can make:)

Supply List, all Stampin’ Up!

Stamps– Tropical Party, Tart & Tangy

Paper– Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, White cardstock

Ink– Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait

Misc-Vellum,  1 inch Square Punch

I have to hurry off right now and feed my grandson.  Thanks for coming by:)
